Hi there, I have lots of music on my ipod and I need to transfer them all to my computer.But some of them were accidently deleted on my itunes.So can I still use itunes to transfer them to pc? Thanks guys!
plug in it and if it (itunes) tells you the ipod is not..latched?..to the PC and will instead wipe the ipod, say no.

I believe DiskAid is what you're looking for.
Once you have access to the iPod, copy the music back into your iTunes folder.
Apple should also retain a copy of your "receipt" for any purchased music you accidentally deleted, so you can probably contact them and see about retrieving what you lost.

You don't need any special software to move music files from an iPod to your Windows computer.
If you don't care about the obfuscated file names, you can just copy them out with Windows explorer (i.e. "My Computer"). The iPod is mounted to the system as a regular external hard drive and it doesn't take too much hunting to find the files. Some of the directories are marked as hidden so you'll need to configure explorer to show hidden files if necessary. (Alt+T -> Folder options -> View tab -> Show hidden files, folders, and drives). On my olde iPod the music files are in the iPod_Control\Music\F00,F01,F02,... directories.
There is a way to get around the obfuscated file names as well if you're looking for a specific song/album/artist/etc. Change the file view mode to "Details" and then enable columns for artist/album/title etc. (Right-click one of the column headers -> Select "More..." and then check the relevant details to display.) Windows will then pull out the appropriate information from the MP3 tag and display it in the column. You can then sort on the column to easily find what you're looking for.
Note that you can't go in the other direction. You can't just drop an MP3 into one of the directories and expect it to be available for playback.

But you can copy the files into a directory on your computer, then import them into itunes and *then* put them onto your ipod. You should be able to do this freely with any mp3 files you have no matter what source they come from. If they're in mp4/acc format (the Apple proprietary thingie), you have to convert it into an mp3 first, but it's still doable. If you purchased it in that format from the Apple store, I don't think that the itunes converter will work, so legally you are not to download a free converter and not to convert it into a basic mp3 and not to copy that anywhere you want. Just want to make sure that everyone knows what they're not supposed to do to get around this. Cause that would be wrong or something!

Of course, if you wanted to do this you probably wouldn't be asking about retrieving mp3s from an iPod in the first place.

instead of using itunes I prefer to online storage. That’s a more convenient way to backup your datas. In case your macbook crash you can still recover these data from your e-storage. And you can download a ipod to computer transfer for backup.Or search pages of "<url removed>" "<url removed> " for help .
