I agree with Jinte. I like knowing how they will test it. Sometimes being too vague can also damage the results.
I haven't seen any of the past "zomg do mah survey for mah class" folks ever post their data.
There's also the matter of how most people who want a survey of gamers and ask here are either A) people who lurk here and suddenly need a large number of people for a survey for some class, and just realized they ****** up their deadline, or B) are of the variety that feels that no
truly intelligent people (like themselves) would actually lower themselves to posting on a
gamer forum on the
internet, so they have that obnoxious holier-than-thou air about their posts, and that continues if and when they attempt to "blend in" with the community and "get accepted as a regular" to get more people to take their survey. The latter are actually more annoying and painful to watch, because a fish out of water is a fish out of water, no matter how you dress it up, and it makes me think of the various studies I've read where the researcher(s) decided to immerse themselves into the world they were studying so as to better comprehend it (such as, for example, the various studies done by sociologists on NY and LA gangs), only the researcher in this case has absolutely no idea wtf they're doing.
