Back in the day, AMD were superior to Intel on many levels...not so much now.

I still use an AMD processor, but only because I got a really good deal on a combo kit.

AMD's mid-range chips are significantly better value for money. Unless you want a high end PC, and there's not much point having one of those for gaming anymore, they're fine.
