..people used to put effort into their dings? Yeah, me either. Fortunately 15k isn't a ding.

It's snowing here, which I hate. Fortunately I've discovered Lie to Me is on Netflix. I do love me some Tim Roth, so that's put a positive spin on today.

Alas, I have an essay to get on with. Nowhere near as interesting as the last one I had to write. Smiley: frown

Anyways, PFORU below and such.

Lie to Me was an awesome show. Fox can go burn in hell for cancelling it without giving the writers a chance to finish the story.

Also, best intro sequence since Smallville.

Oh, and horse, bow, arrow, attention.

I'm getting closer and closer to 10k and have nothing planned. I've dropped off so much in posting over the last year that I'm not sure I'll ever hit it anyway, nor will anyone know who I am. Smiley: frown

Congrats and stuff. I'm surprised though only a few people have passed me as far as I am aware of. It snowed here in Tokyo a few days ago.

Here is a picture of Mt. Fuji in the background.
Blurry photo of Tokyo Tower

I'd like to get a new iPod so I can take better snapshot photos of places I visit. Tokyo is a wonderful city filled with lots of things to see and do. I'm not sure I will ever get to 20k while I am here in Japan. :P

Can't you get a decent Point & Shoot camera in Tokyo for an affordable price?
And I'd like to go to Japan sometime, although it's not too high up on my list of places to go.

Also, people post slowly. I think half the posters who are about 15k or so have stopped posting altogether.

Hmmm I am not so sure. I have a DSLR so I've never really looked. Regular digital cameras seem to go for about 10,000yen or so. But I can't imagine the plastic 1 time use being more than 2,000 yen.

Japan has lots of cool things to see. I've been enjoying every moment this past year.

Why not take the DSLR with you then? Assuming you're going somewhere for a day or a few days. Aside from that I tend to just use my phone which doesn't do too bad a job.

It is a bit bulky and sometimes I'm not always minded towards going out for photo shooting. But out of nowhere I see something and I want to take a photo XD

Like the Mt. Fuji photo I was not even expecting to see Mt. Fuji that close. Just so happened the area I ended up in had a great view. I just returned to Japan a week ago so I haven't had the chance to look for a new cell phone.

But I do have my lens cap for my camera and lens so I can disassemble it now and place it in my bag. I'll have to take some more photos to show.

Look into getting a shoulder strap if you don't have one. The basic Blackrapid ones are good (albeit still expensive) and they make carrying your camera around a non issue. You just need to watch out a bit that you don't bang it against something since it's hanging at hip height. It has the pleasant side effect of making you look less tourist and more pro photographer.

Yeah part of it is not wanting to look like a tourist.
