What is point of advertising when the ads take precedence over the purpose of the site? What's more, it's one of those dumb hoax ads. 20 repetitions of "you are the millionth visitor" is getting quite grating.

I understand you have to pay the bills but this is just plain annoying. Note how it "conveniently" sits right over the data for the item. This is the type of thing that would convince me to just stick to Mysterytour. Which would be a shame, this is a well-designed site apart from that banner.
The biggest thing this site has going for it over others is the cross-linked data - it means I can very quickly find out what I want with the minimum fuss (the definition of good program/site design). That is the site's purpose, is it not? With that in mind, imagine how annoying it is when you're trying to QUICKLY access information and that damn hoax ad floats right over the information I want to read. I now have to click "back", click on the link again and wait for the page to load (which can be a long time depending on server load). It's just an obstacle, an obstacle that needn't exist, and doesn't on other sites.
Please, remove it.
