While most viruses are aimed at Windows machines, not all of them are. Macs are in no way "immune" to viruses, it's just a game of numbers. If you want to take down as many machines as possible with one code, you're going to aim for what the majority use and probably write a .vbs script and embed it in a file. Those wouldn't effect a Mac OS or Cisco proprietary OS, etc. Don't think there aren't viruses out there aimed at those systems too though.
