Request for Thread Nuke/LockFollow

Hello,

I am requesting an admin lock this thread on the basis that it's continuation (even though we attempted to side-track it to no avail) would further deface the reputation of the person in question and could also be considered harassment
should the subject matter continue.

Thank you

Yes, that looks like it's gone a bit overboard. Locked.

Hip seems quite capable of defending himself, there was no reason to lock it. If people hadn't hijacked it it would have died a while ago anyway, however the issue was revisited and discussions continued.

We are still allowed to talk about things right? On topic things, like this one was?

153 posts over 13 days seemed to be enough for this war. There was a complaint about the thread. And where there is one complaint, there are many more from people who can't be bothered to post here in this forum.

I can appreciate your position here being a participant in the thread, but having read it myself this complaint did not seem unreasonable. If anything I'm surprised the thread lasted as long as it did.

I agree, if anything it should have been locked when it was hijacked. However the issue was revisited, as i had intended to do, after a week or so to see if hip was successful.

I just think there are a lot more posts worthy of being locked.

And as you put it, 1 person complained, in the past unless the post contained TOS violations/****/etc 1 person being mildly annoyed was not enough to get a thread nuked and/or locked.

if 10 or so people posted right here to also request it be locked you would not be reading an argument from me.

I'm curious about something. There was a thread not too long ago that I requested to have locked because it had degenerated into a flame war. I was told that it would not be locked because only one person had expressed the opinion that it should be, via not speaking up and not rating everyone down, and thus - unlocked it remained. Yet you say that if one person complains there's a lot more people who don't, and lock the thread. Is this merely a difference in moderating techniques from administrator to administrator? I ask mostly because I'd like to know what the rules for closing a thread are before I ask for it next time. :/

Thanks in advance, and I really am not trying to pick on you - really I want to save you time by not requesting thread closings in the future when they don't deserve it. ;P

Hehe, i just noticed this little thread..

I dont see what the big deal is!! i mean, the thread got locked and all, and it didnt seem like anybody was really getting to bent out of shape.. sure alot of people stated thier opinions, and like i said before, i am ok with that..

Just to let it be known to all, Hiptaru Profited about 1 million gil on the whole astral ring thing, and it looks like he didnt ruin the game at all, like some people said i was doing.

Trizzoro and I seem to be an good terms, and are not on each others /blist. I wouldnt post anything here, but i seem to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages, and i dont think anybody is ever gonna see this anyways.. i just clicked on a old link to have some memories, and look what happens. lol

Anyways.. Peace out. and goodnight.
