You know what? I am seriously considering deleting my account because of how these karma trolls are literally sucking the life out of these forums. There is NO excuse, NO defense, and NO justification, and between this and Yhoator Jungle I am about ready to scream. You want a decent forum? FIX THE KARMA SYSTEM. How? Here's a GREAT idea:
Implement a system where a rating (either up or down) is reviewable by anyone with a higher status, meaning Sages can review Scholar ratings and Gurus can review both Scholar and Sage ratings. They can either accept or decline the rating or do nothing for 24 hours and the rating is automatically declined. Right now there is absolutely NO accountability for ratings and it really makes me sick that a forum system so popular can be so fundamentally flawed.

I'll admit i'm not the biggest fan of trolls, but this system you are suggesting doesn't help any.
The system is designed to be an average of your posts, your a low post count so ratings will effect you a lot more then someone with a higher...

You have 38 posts, and are already a scholar. The system in your case is working exactly as intended.

Yeah, trolls suck butt. The only thing you can do is forget karma exists.

Which I have now done by turning off my filter. Of course this has the added benefit of finding spammers and other trolls that should be banned (ie. zebraa).

Have to agree with that one there. ^^ Although at my current progress, I think I'll lose Sage in approx. another 400 posts or so, maybe less.
Unless a post gets rated below default, Karma has next to no effect on the overall quality of the forums.
I also hate the Kharma Trolls
