Ok this person has been spamming all the new items on wow with a link to some strange site.

I was brave and clicked the link. I didn't look around, but from the message it looks like each time someone clicks on the link, he gets an extra "soldier" so I'm guess it is some online game thingy.
This is also happening on the new items posted for FFXI.
The Christmas Event trees as well as the New Year's Event items.

Most of those "click to get an extra soldier" things state that what he is doing is against the ToS for their service.
they usually have an option when you click the link to say something along the lines of "I was misdirected to go here". If you click on that, he will be banned from that service.
