Scholar status not workingFollow

I just recently got scholar status back from posting in some kindof karma mine field, and I am still un able to rate posts. It says my average posting score is above 3.00, but it still says my status is "user" instead of scholar, yet my name still appears in yellow when i post.

I hope this isnt something totally dumb on my part where i don't understand how the posting system works.

Probably if you get one more point on your Scholar Stauts it might work

Been visiting the Main Forum? Smiley: lol

I'd just go out on a limb and also venture to suggest that your decision to associate yourself with this Xeno-Inquisition may also make you (more of) a target.

Yeah the karma minefield was in the main forum, what else is new.
But yeah I beleive in the xeno-inquisition.
Its funny. It makes the forums more entertaining and destroys crappy threads, whats not to like?
I dont really care about my rating, i just wanna rate other's posts

This isn't the first time someone has had this issue.

When you are hovering at the cusp of user--> scholar you encounter the interesting way that Alla calculates overall karma and individual post karma.

Basically your calculated karma is bouncing between user and scholar, but your post name doesn't necessarily keep up.

I don't know how it is done in the server, but I do know that the solution is to keep posting. Eventually you will be rated up or down enough to solidify your standing one way or the other. To me your karma is 3.01, which means you should have no problem rating posts.

My advice would be if you truly care about being able to rate posts, ditch any group that would give you a potential rate down, and post carefully.

You'd be amazed with only around 250 posts how much your karma can move if someone decides to not like you.
