Morons trollingFollow

You know, as much as I like WoW (and I really do!), and as much as that guys thread was defintely and off-topic troll, I fear that the WoW forums are just going to turn into the FFXI forums, part two.

The same kind of karma wars go on there, the same kind of "Oh, this post is just for fun, can't you understand FUN?" posts that pop up by regular forum members, etc. It's the same thing all over again, and much of the reason that I left the FFXI main forum long before I stopped playing the game.

At least in the EQ2 forums we kept the rate ups and downs to a minimum, and just talked about the game, instead of posting 9000 "I'm bored, so I decided to post something completely off-topic" threads.

Sorry if I **** anyone off (actually, I'm not even that sorry), but that's just how I see things going. We have an two off-topic forums available to people, one a bit harsher than the other. I wish more people would use them.

I totally agree, and said so in my post above. I just also wanted to express my opinions about the WoW boards in general, and how frustrating it can be sometimes to find informational posts among all of the "cameraderie".

That said, I'm still going to do my best to participate in the forums and help them to be a good location for WoW information.
