Here's an idea i thought of to improve the efficiency of the gaming sites:
Say when you posted a new thread there was a drop down box next to the subject line allowing you to select from different catagories that defined your post, these catagories would namely be Question, Information, Misc. etc and when the post showed up on the main forum there was a small icon on the left side of the title (where the flame/book thingy is)
The icons could be;
a question mark for the question catagory, a green dot for information, a yellow dot for misc and so forth.
I believe this would help as you could add another bar to the filter allowing you to show only info posts or only questions and when the searh feature is reimplamented it could be used to search as well.
I have no clue on how difficult or easy it would be to code this but i feel it would help the main forums become more efficient.

We looked into that at one point. It wouldn't be hard to code, but examening the old UBB forum, only about 1 in every 12 people actually used it, so it was veto'd
besids, search needs fixed before we add new stuff.
There are plans in the works during the next few months to re-do the way the forums system stores cookies, which will streamline things and allow the main thread page to have the new threads/no new threads icons. No ETA on that at this point though.

would it be feasible to make it mandatory like how a subject line is?
