I'm interested to know the reason for the limit on quotes.
Is there some particular functionality which is impaired or disturbed if too many are allowed?

I agree that generally, the current limit is enough, but there are occassional times when it would be nice to be able to continue using them beyond whatever the current limit is.

I've only rarely done so, but that makes sense.

Has this changed? I could have sworn we were allowed more, before.

I think five is a little on the sparse side, to be honest.

As I said before, most times, it's sufficient, but if there is not a specific function in the underpinnings of the forum's code that would get broken by allowing more, I am much in favor of raising this limit to something more useful, like 8 or even 10, perhaps.

Thanks for the clear demonstration.

I like the proposed idea, but don't know anything about coding, so I'd advocate it only if it were something which wouldn't complicate the site needlessly.

Also, perhaps there is a difference in the quote limit between forum posts and PMs? After 5 in a recent PM, they stopped, but it seems like more are allowed in a post.
