See the known issues sticky thread. It's a glitch.

Your karma will reappear when the server tallies it again, no more tan 24 hours.

ah, okay, just seemed really wierd that I seem to be the only one (at least from the FF boards) affected...

I figured someone accused me of selling gil or something ^^

Naw...it happened to me a while back. No need to worry, especially with your post count. Those 3.00 posts won't budge your karma at all most likely.

yeah, it's the big rating users that tend to get bugged (queries timing out), is the main problem with the script, I'm pretty sure

Just posting so the pics would be back to back.

And to remind Lefein yet again that he needs to stop crying every time his karma moves a hundreth of a point

A couple of questions.

1) What is your definition of "big rating users?" Does that mean ratings given, received, or both?

2) Would you prefer us to tell you when this happens or to just wait it out?

3) Does this mean it will happen more frequently as I rate/get rated?

Hey jackass, learn to count.

My scholar status was gone, which is why I started this thread. Thanks for camping me in a goddamn forum support forum. Thanks to jerkoffs playing with the rate button this stuff happens to me in the first place.

I was simply finding out if I got No-Rated for some reason. From now on I'll just private message the admins when my account goes screwy because some kids fell off the shortbus and learned to play with a rate button.

Way to teach a guy with over 8500 posts a lesson! OOH OOH, here's an original idea, rate this post down too!

Hey jackass, learn to read.

Not only had your question been answered in a different thread, stating that this was a known issue and you just had to ride it out, but you are notorious for claiming that your precious karma is being hurt. You were also instructed a while ago in a different thread to send an admin PM's if you felt you were being karma kamped. (Instructions were given to you by Darkflame)

Why is a stupid number so important to you? (And I am being serious here). Are you that insecure with your life that you need to feel special on an internet message board?

Boo hoo, you lost your dear little scholar status. The same thing happened to me at the same exact time, but did I feel the need to make everyone and their mother aware of it? The answer is no, I checked the known issues thread, saw that this thing happens, and got on with my life.

I would suggest that you reevaluate what is important in your life. There is no reason for you to be as obsesed with your karma as you are. If you still feel like it is a big deal, then I will feel sorry for you and that is all.

Ohh, and that is great that you have over 8500 posts here. It doesn't mean that you are a better person, so I would suggest not using that as the basis of swinging your e-peen.

Edit cause I am bored: Here are all of the karma threads you have started in this forum, that I have been able to find.

One dealing with the same issue as this thread

Darkflame reminding you about sending her PM's when asking about karma

First time Darkflame told you to send PM's about karma issues

Danalog telling you that you get lots of rate-downs for posting karma threads (deja vu all over again)

This doesn't take into account others in different forums or those that have been nuked. Maybe you should start listening to the same advice that is dole out to you over and over again.

Quoting directly from the Legendary Baqst Thread:

Okay I'll give a good reason why it keeps getting bumped.

There was a time on this board when the community was spectacular. Im not lying! We all got along and had a great time making fun of a silly spelling mistake. Hell we even made a stupid religion out of it just to be silly. Now, I see the FFXi boards being compared to STEAM!!! Frikken STEAM!! People whine, *****, moan, groan, all day long about gil selling and stupid petty stuff in this forum now. Oh my lord, some jackass made a sockpuppet and a pretend story about how IGE peed in his cheerios and got rated up to a frikken four for a time! I mean come the hell on! Anyways, people like to bump this thread because it was a shining example of the goofy silly fun we can all have when we decide to. Ah well, maybe it was in the past.. Maybe it really was all dumb. But for god's sake noone was running around like they got kicked in the E-gina by the Chinese boogyman. Even beyond all that, these boards have run off a lot of good players. A LOT of people have fled to other forums and still play FFXI. The game isnt the problem, it's these god awful dumbshts that play with the rate button that pisses them off. Well, I'll say something about it. Hell, I have 6000+ posts and I can afford to have one nuked into oblivion by the people who can't bare to hear the truth told. The truth is that these people suck. They make a Post about how baby penguins are brown and overnight become scholars. Who cares about the silly yellow name though? No, really, I'll be the first to say it doesnt mean crap. The problem is that people who gave half a rat's *** about the game and helping people out see their ratings go down cuz (OMG you won't believe this) but a large group of retards moved in and feel that anyone with a higher post count than them is probably a Gil seller and gets screwed in the bung by Chinese Lucifer every night. I don't know how else to explain it anymore. I can say something completely neutral and unoffensive and it drops in karma.. There's no reason for it. It doesnt really bother me that badly, but I know it bothers others. Especially in the light of these dumbass Scholars who have 40 posts and are asking about stupid job abilities and such. Yet another paper scholar who made a thread about how gil selling is bad. Like, as if saying gil sellers are bad is a goddamn nomination for a Pulitzer prize. I bet I could create a sockpuppet, use half cocked leet speak, and talk about how the Chinese peed in my cheerios and be a sage by the weekend.

All in all, you would be horribly misdirected if you believed this post had anything to do with karma however, it's just a shining example of how poor the community has become. Here's another instance that might make more sense to those of us who have been around long enough to know the silly number is just a silly number....

The goddamn CoP spoilers released last week... Yeah, we not only got a new benchmark program with hundreds of cute tarus RUNNING AROUND IN A BEAUTIFUL HIGH LEVEL ZONE, but get this (you might have missed it while carrying that pitchfork against the gilsellers) THERE WAS A SPOILER OF A MAJOR CoP CUTSCENE thrown in!! It had all the dragons, NPCs, and awesome special effects and plot implications... Did we even hear about it until I made a thread? The answer is no. Flat out! No! Why?! Aren't we here to share a joy for the game we supposedly love? Apparently not... I bet if this happened to EQ or Lineage the boards over there would be taking a collective crap on itself! Over here? Not a peep.

This forum has gone so terribly wrong that it chases away good posters who have a will to help. The community itself reflects poorly on the in-game community as well. People on many occasions from other forums have noted how crappy the FFXI fans seem to be across the internet. It has come to the point where it seems as if I need to make a disclaimer on other boards that even though I play FFXI, my IQ is indeed higher than a Jersey number on a basketball court. Why must this be? I just don't know anymore. But I know that the game suffers, good people suffer, and Allakhazam suffers because of asshats that can't even get a joke anymore.

-Lefein out

So, if I want your opinion PsiChi... I will give it to you.

We really should push for the "Move Thread" feature. I would dump this into the Asylum where it would undoubtedly be torn to shreds.

However, as it is right now this thread can only receive an admin death sentence. /wave
