Gilgamesh Karma troll?Follow

More information on this:
Someone in the forum basically brought this upon themselves in this thread. I recognize this as silly on the OP's part, however now the reprecusions(ratedowns) of that are spilling over to many other threads on the board where that person (Lionheartviii) posts.

We're just wondering if there's anything that can be done about it?

I see nothing wrong with that thread, and yet somehow, as soon as Chocobolove posted, all the karma bombed out. I don't see how you couldn't be led to believe...I guess this site is just like Square-Enix. =x Oh well.

Don't be stupid. The admins are able to see who rates who what and therefore KNOWS if that user rated down or not. There is no if and or but about it and what he is essentially saying is that you people are WRONG and to knock off the idiotic karma witchhunt.

How would you like it if you were false accused of rating down by sockpuppetry and get your karma rated into oblivion so that your account was useless?

If so many of you are so heartstricken over this Chocoboperson, why haven't you pushed them under the default filter yet? Kao already said that they aren't using a sock, so theoretically, it should be easy for you to "squash" the pest, right?

You, along with a couple of other yet to be unnamed individuals from the FFXI forums have been whining an awful lot about karma lately. Every time I check this forum it's "SoandSo is camping me", "SoandSo is a troll", "I know SoandSo is a troll because I'm just freakin' smart like that".... Because of all of this complaining, I've visited the FFXI forums no less then 10 times this week (ohhh, the horror) looking at what you all are complaining about. One thing that I see OVER and OVER and OVER is YOU complaining about your karma. GET OVER IT.

@ Kao. Christ. Seeing all of this, it almost makes me want to apologize for the stink I made over Sanctuary. If this is the crap you all had to put up with in the Asylum, I can almost understand why people of normal intellect would want to get away from the mob 'o whine.

You're talking to Kao here... so I doubt he'll change his stance. He's stubborn, and at times can be a real a$$. That being said, he generally does a good job taking care of the riff raff, and he usually doesn't pull punches. As an example, I once rated several people in a way that Kao didn't feel was justified (not quite the same thing that's happening with you, trust me). He then announced to a whole forum that I was to blame and declared "open season" on me... needless to say, my default score took a significant hit for a few days.



I can guarantee that Kao means that. I have heard that Dana has a script that can hand out several awfuls in one fell swoop. They have the tools, they do use them when they feel it's time.

In regards to your request to have the ability to see who rates you... you must understand that having that ability would only cause more harm then good. People would become afraid to hand out bad ratings for fear of retaliation. Posts get rated down (or up) for all kinds of reasons, but if someone could identify everyone that's given them a bad rating, the flame fests would turn into ratedown fests. Pretty soon, we'd have 20 forums of people all sitting at a 3.0 score (or worse).

Although Chocobolove may not have anything to do with rate downs in some threads, she definatly is in others.

She admits to rating down in this thread when his/her karma is well below rating level. This suggest either he/she does infact have another account, or he/she thinks they can rate down. I highly doubt that the second one is true because i noticed, aswell as several others, that our ratings dropped dramaticly after he/she posted. As for actions by the admins, i find it childish to hear an important person of these forums make threats about rating people up who terrorize our threads. I no longer have any trust or respect for admin Kao. If an admin can show me evidence somehow this is true that chocobolove is not responsible, then i and many others will drop this. Until i can see this i will not believe anything i see from admins here. We have more evidence then any admin has shown us so far, and adding a threat with your evidence does not help anyone to believe you.

Chocobolove is a pest on our forums that can and will start a flame war on any thread. He/she has shown us this for many weeks now and latly everytime a flame comes to a thread, so have the rate downs. Please show us concrete evidence, or tell us who the bomber is so we can take this into our own hands.

Oh crap. Rating me down is one thing. I could care less. But you do realize you rated Kao and Railus down too, right? You just wrote your deathwarrent Bigguy.

I understand how you guys feel after seeing that "I bet he buy gil from the same place I do". It kind of sucks to have someone not only admit they buy gil, but also go around and say others do. But atleast you guys know that person isnt the karma troll.
