thank you for fixing!

and to the person who felt the need to rate me down for asking that my account be fixed, /wave
i like making new friends!

question though, when this happens and i am defaulted to 3.00 and make new posts, do those new posts go in to my overall rating as 3.00 or whatever my value SHOULD be even though it is displaying 3.00?

Riiiiiight.

I also see ten threads about stickies wanted.

Then I see about a dozen about Karma Trolls.

And another dozen about Thread Nuke requests.

Be sure to visit all of those too Angst.

Angsty: He had said that he waited over 24 hours, cleared all cookies, ect, which to me implies that he read the Known Issues sticky and followed the suggestions in there. Did it warrant a whole tread (and the ensuing discussion)? Meh

TseTsuo: It is probably better to just drop an admin a PM if you get set to default for over 24hours, instead of posting about it. Karma posts=rate downs as we have learned time and time again.

And yes, the posts you make while default will affect your overall karma by be calculated as 3.00.

See the known issues sticky thread. It's a glitch.

Your karma will reappear when the server tallies it again, no more tan 24 hours.

read my post, i waited the 24 ... actually more, and followed the instructions.

I very well knew about the issue, and that it is supposed to clear itself, when it doesnt i ask for help. Did you fix my problem? cause if you didnt this doesn't concern you at all.

As was just suggested i will send a PM in the future, though the last few PM's i sent to admins went ignored so my faith there is limited.

And why would i care if 10 other people posted about their own accounts yet none of those 10 posts have a self rectifying solution, you show me 1 post where someone hasa fix (other than wait a day) and i will bow to your superior post finding skills.

The only solution, as far as i can see, is to have an admin remedy it as it seems the wait 24 hours doesnt work, at least for me. and since i can only assume (based on no response yet) that my posts would then be going in as 3.00 i would effectively be rating myself down.

That's kind of silly isn't it?

at the same time me posting "hey it happened to me too" under someone else's post might be overlooked and thought to just be another commment.

If you call up Gateway/Dell/Wherever and say "hey my CDROM isn't working" they don't place a note under someone else's request that you have the problem too, they make a new request for it.

Yes and no.

sorry, they may link tickets but each problem report is still created per issue per person.

As for the admins reading all comments, maybe they do, i can only account from my personal experiences where even when i make my own post for an issue only parts of it get done. As such in order to ensure that my request is handled i do what i can to make it as visible as possible, hence the new post.

you don't have to like it, and you can feel free to rate me down for doing so, but it won't change anything, the next time it happens ill send a PM, if nothing happens then i will post again.

I honestly think its silly to even allow ratings in this particular forum but thats just me.
