I've finally gotten rated up to Scholar status, which means I can excercise my powers to rate up the good, and rate down the bad. However, I've noticed that in my "User Account" page, it tells me my Posting Karma is 3.02; when I post, my Karma is defaulted at 3.01.
I've also noticed that whenever I rate something, click the "Rate Posts" button, they don't seem to take any effect. I can be the first person to rate something, and regardless of what I rate it(be it Awful or Excellent) it doesn't move the rating of the post at all.

I read the Sticky thread, and at first I assumed that was the problem, but even now hours after I've rated some posts, I don't see any change. After I rate something, I'll refresh it multiple times, and still not notice any change.
Maybe I'm just overreacting, I mean hell I am new at this. But maybe we need to change it so that after you rate a post, instead of still having the ability to rate that post it just displays what you rated it as; it would help some of the confusion, I think. How that would be done, I have no idea, as I'm no programmer.

It might be a matter of being on the cusp of a score point. I know that my posts often waffle between .01 without any recent ratings - right now I'm either 3.18 or 3.17.
