So earlier today I was affected by that karma bug, you know the one, where you go to 3.0 base karma. I know it sorts itself out, so I continue posting. I go log onto wow for awhile and during that time, I get a rate-up. When I come back, its like the karma bug has fixed itself, but my base karma has gone up by like .04 (from before the bug) or something. Now, not that i'm complaining, but something seems fishy about that. Is it like a side effect of the karma bug? Is the karma system doing something like only averaging the posts i've made while under the bug? If so, this could be something else you need to look into if it isn't known...

SHHHHHHHH! (I had the bug recently, and after I got fixed I jumped from 3.71 to 3.73) If you tell them, they'll fix it and nerf us all!

However, it's interesting because I had wondered about something opposite, namely the idea that if you made (let's say) 100 posts while the bug affected your account, and all of them were (by default) 3.00, would those hundred 3.00 posts end up being factored in to your overall average, thus effectively lowering said average?

I always kinda assumed that, since the average is based of all your posts, so I never post much once I find it.
