The top of every thread has "You have 2 unread messages." yet I don't have any unread messages when I click it. Please advise.

From Angsty's Known Issues Thread:

Quote:
I put someone on Ignore in the PM system, and now It keeps saying I have new messages.

This is a known bug, and is being worked on.

Check to see if you have anybody on ignore. If you don't, then it may be a new/unique problem.

I've read about that bug, and triggered it previously.

I had one unread message for over a month, then got used to looking for 2 to know I had a real message. So the other day I log in and had to, so I look. nothin there. Then it says 3..

It like a message got deleted before I could read it.

At least I get new ones now *shrugs* counter is just wrong like with the other bug. (nobody new on the ignore list btw)

Maybe it's someone that IS on your ignore list sending you multiple PMs. I'll try sending you one to see if mine gets through (unless you have ME on ignore too. Smiley: smile)

I just got an idea that may help with eliminating the bug.

Instead of the ignored users message being hidden, autodelete the message and autogenerate a message to the ignored user stating "message was not recieved, this user has you on ignore" which prevents the insreasing number of invisable meessage that just collected in my inbox =)

The delete issue would have to be resovled 1st however, and I know one way to handle that but it wastes some space.

as I understand it, the message delete bug exists do to not being able to actually remove it since the sent copy in the other persons folder is actually the same message, if so, 2 copies would mean one could be deleted.

Of coarse it would be much better if the pointer to it for the deleting user could just be removed thus not wasting space.

I'm not famier with how the code for this looks of coarse, but thought I'd throw my idea out here.

Can we please remove this little problem somehow?

I don't care what, but sick of invisible messages from morons on ignore list..He's ignore listed for a reason..

Auto mark them as read, or something.

edit: hows Forestgreen darq? :)

Deal. I had no idea about the green. I'll have to start using another color.
