For about a year in this forums I have seen many fan made works that came and got lost in the sea of posts. Art, videos, music and fan fics?
I thought it would be a rather good idea to have a specific forum for stuff like that rather than it being posted together within the main forum? Or perhaps include a sub forum within the main forum for that?
Maybe it has been suggested before but I cant seem to find the post on that after browsing through the pages :P

Problems with that:
1) Normal users are not allowed to use and sort of IMG tag.
2) Knowing the average maturity of the posters here, the section would devolve into Mithra pron and tubgirl.
If you wanted a forum dedicated to Fan Art, you could get premium and use your journal as the Fan Art forum...

We're looking into some sort of link only fan art / fan video repository. It will likely take a while to set up if it gets approved.

There is a big Fan art thread in the main FFXI forum that people keep bumping, but yeah It'd be nice to see something more official, I have to keep bumping the damn thing. As for inappropriate material, just mod it. And as long as you host it yourself and provide links, who cares.
