Issues with WoW sigFollow

#1 Mar 26 2007 at 12:26 PM Rating: Decent
I love all the new options with the WoW sig.

I just can't figure out how to use them.

I went in and changed the background and all of the font colors and all that fun stuff. So I get it just the way I want it, hit the "update" button at the bottom and it shows me what I picked. Oooo, pretty! That's what I want.

Then I go back to my character screen and it's back to the old original. Smiley: glare

So I thought, "Well, maybe it worked anyway." So I go into my journal to my "test" thread and the only post on there from St. Patty's day shows my new colors on my sig!! Yay!

Then I posted something else, and it's back to my old colors.

What am I doing wrong? Smiley: frown

Ok... this just got more interesting.

I see that when I use the WoW background, it shows the WoW sig banner the way I want it. But when I switch to the FFXI background (which is what I usually use, as I don't care much for the orange) it's back to the old banner sig.

Help? Prease? Smiley: smile

Well... looks like it's working now. So... whatever you did, thanks! And if it was just me being impatient and needing to wait for something or other to catch up, sorry. Smiley: grin

What happens is that when you load a sig up your browser is told it is good for x hours, I think 24, so you don't have to keep reloading the images. So, you do have to wait a little for it update unless you clear your cache I believe.

I know Illia doesn't like "Back"-buttons, but we really, really need one on the signature background customization page. The only way to go back from there is using the Back button on your browser, resulting in a return to an old cached page, meaning you'd have to go back and then refresh the page.

And the signature image can be quite slow at updating sometimes.

Ok, so it was working at home, but now I'm back at work and it's wrong again.

I went and deleted all my temporary files, and it seems to be fixed.

Thanks so much, Tomec!
