Thanks for all the work you're doing on revamping the site. It's nice to see things changing, even if we aren't all thrilled about it. I'll admit, I was pulling a few "yucky" faces at first, but it's growing on me. Like most gaming geeks, I hate to see things change too quickly, but we all adjust.

I'm having some aesthetic issues, however, with the FFXI style sheet. Mostly, it's the divider lines. Usually, stuff like this doesn't bother me, but for some reason, this is sticking out.

You have a divider line separating the avatar/post count box and the actual post. Then it T's off with the divider line from the "posting from" note and everything else above it.

For some reason, on my screen, the divider lines are not going all the way.

Here, let me show you what I mean.

Again, it's purely aesthetics. And aside from everything seeming to be extremely slow for the majority of the day, it's the only real problem I've seen lately. Just wanted to point it out. Thanks!

Edit: Oddly enough, after I posted this, I previewed it first. I wanted to check the link before I posted it. When I previewed it, my link wasn't showing up.

I just previewed this again, and it's still not showing up.

Same here.

Not sure if this is intentional or not though.

I approve, really, of everything Belkira said.

I would think if it were intentional then it would be consistent, right?

I haven't seen consistency with it, but maybe I'm just not getting the pattern. Smiley: grin

Now I believe it is intentional as the line ends where the last link on the side is ('link to post')

But...it isn't cute because it looks broken afterwards.

Danalog said before that it was a "fix" to issue of posts bleeding out of the thread frames in the EQ and FFXI stylesheets.

The other stylesheets just don't have lines at all (which looks even worse in my opinion).

If I can figure out a way in CSS to put a full line between two divs without having it completely blow up in IE6 and fall off the left side of the screen, I'd fix it.

Anyone have any ideas? =P

Tell people to upgrade from IE6 or use Firefox/Opera?

Ah, I see. That's cool, I didn't know if it was on purpose or not.

Thanks for the answers! Smiley: smile

Anyone care to tell me why I was rated down for asking a question...?

Just curious is all.

Looks like the rate downs were all around.

And more than one person, as my one rate up wasn't enough to fix it.

Yeah, I noticed that after I hit post.

Just wondering why...?

@ Belkira the Tulip: Bear in mind that some people like to use the rate down buttons for their own reasons that may or may not have a thing to do with the actual post. It doesn't necessarily mean you had a bad post but for them, for whatever reason, they felt the need to rate down.

However, I thought the question was valid, as did some of the other admins so I wouldn't worry too much about one or two random hits. It warranted a rate up from me at least for being on topic, open minded in approach and not in the slightest bit hostile, which helps the dev team immensely with the upgrades they are working on.
