I've PM'd several admins to look into telling my Karma Campers to knock it off. I have not even so much as gotten a "GFY" in return. I spam all of 9 posts and I get my tits hammered, yet it seems several people are allowed to consistently camp me without a word said to them, might I ask why?

Granted, when I am being an ***, I expect to be rated down, no problem there. However, threads such as this get trolled down consistently. I don't really care what you do to stop it, but will you stop it please?

I don't even know how to check to see if I'm being rated up or down. All I know is that I've stayed at scholar, so no one must be doing too much.

Hope someone gets around to helping you out, Rime.

Did my part in fixin' your rating there, rime.

From checking that thread, I don't see a massive rate down taking place on your posts at all Rime. In fact, I don't really see excessive karma camping on you at all today.

However, if you feel you are being excessively rated down you are certainly welcome to PM me about it.

I think it's cute that Rime is getting upset.

There were exactly two negative ratings on you in that thread. I wouldn't call that Karma camping at all.

I really dislike people with 9,000+ posts complaining about 1 or 2 ratings, wonder how to fix it...

That thread was an example, it wasn't so much the thread itself as much as it was the lack of response (from PM's), however, I have corresponded with Pikko on IRC and she let me know the situation.

EDIT: Yeah, the user screen had nothing to do with it. I don't need some number to tell me I'm being rate camped. Smiley: oyvey

They might as well entirely do away with the system now.

Nah, the system is fine as it is. They're just missing a away to automaticly spot campers and norate them for a while like some chatroom block users spamming.

I'm saying it seems to be a big hassle for them, so instead of cutting away at this piece, and that piece, why not just get rid of it?

In that case they'd either need more admins to ban those idiots and stuff...or think of an entierly new system...

Actually Rime always said that. Butthurt or not. I do understand what he means but in my opinion the system is fine.

The only way the system is broken is that people can make rate socks. It's a semi-tolerated thing to make multiple accounts, and the damage can be corrected, but it's really ridiculous that one person can have 5-10 accounts rated to scholar and posted high enough to rate, then come into a post and drop your karma like a rock because they dislike what you say.

That's what's broken about the system. The servers cannot automatically protect against this, and without visibly seeing our karma now, we have no way of knowing that we are being reamed with rate downs because we post.

In a perfect world where people didn't get /butthurt if you told them they were wrong about how something works, there would be no rate campers.
