[FFXI] Item links

I'm aware that the FFXI item DB has not been wikified, though I assume it will eventually be.

In that light, how should we link items in the wiki for the time being?

Link directly to the item DB entry? (i.e. [http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?fitem=2300 Temple Gloves])

Use a temporary wiki-style link? (i.e. Temple Gloves)

Or use a 'placeholder' item DB link? (I'm guessing, once the item DB is added, something like FFXI Item:Temple Gloves)

I believe the third one is the preferred style.

On a similar note, WHM AF2's quest either needs to be renamed to remove the &, or else we need to allow FFXI Quest:#<whatever> as a substitute, because it's presently impossible to do a non-external link to it.

I believe that the Developers are working on some workarounds for links using & / and other oddball characters.

The Item DB will be linked in the same way as Quests and Areas, I assume. So the proper syntax should be FFXI Item:Earth Crystal Be sure to use the exact spelling and word order of the item you are linking.
