But I've noticed that I'm not longer able to rate, and that I'm not longer a "Sage" after a rant thread. I'm guessing it is the work of the mods?

I can understand if swearing is prohibited... but a rant thread I do not understand a mod having power, or finding jurisdiction to do that. Hey I might be wrong, and missed the "Swearing & rants are prohibited" in the FAQ.

I don't really care though, I'm just curious. :)

This forum is community moderated. You obviously pissed off people off enough to rate you down until you were sub-scholar. The admins don't get involved in this stuff unless a person posts things that are in blatant violation of the the site's policies.

To add what Mindel said, enough people thought you sucked and as a result, you can no longer rate.

If an admin does happen to knock your post out (and it's not a full out ban), then the negative score you get doesn't count against your overall rating either.

Make sense. :)

Is it possible that I just pissed off one person enough to rate me down on everything I say?

Darq would have said so if you had, though it is possible. At your postcount, one thread where you really pissed off enough people would be all it would take to rate you to subscholar even from Guru.
