Discussion Tab?Follow

One feature that most Wikis have is a discussion tab, which would be a sandbox page attached to each article so you could discuss the merits (or lack thereof) of changes being made. Something like that for the Allakhazam wiki page might be helpful, especially on the larger/more controversial Wiki posts that are sure to arise.

I think, for now at least, the discussions of articles should be redirected here to the wiki forum.

Perhaps, next time I see a dev, I'll ask about adding a line of text underneath the Category boxes on all the pages in the wiki, something to the tune of "If you would like to discuss this article, please head over to the WikiFeedback forum."

I think that would be a decent alternative to having a discussion tab on every page. That way, there will be one concentrated area for discussing hot button topics and asking for help in fleshing out articles.

Easier to moderate things in here too. Maybe have a discusison tab link directly here?

for articles attached to a db entry, like a quest description, the comments on the quest should suffice. I can see the need for articles which aren't attached, it'll probably be the comment system, but it'll take a bit of coding to make that happen.

In one of my many "Evil Plan(tm)" posts on the admin forum, I have asked the devs to create a "discussion" tab, but rather than the traditional straight wiki page approach used on other wikis, I would like to see the messages code used there. So, basically we would have the same code there that you currently see on the bottom of all DB pages. It makes sense, since we have the code already, to plug it in there. :)

I was making some edits to the WoWWiki and got annoyed by this again, but then realized I'd already made a post about it. Bump for the win!

Comments sounds good (and logical, given that the system is already in place); was there any progress in implementing this?

For reference, the reason this topic resurfaced was due to the table on this page. The values in it are somewhat subjective, but necessary. Zip and I had some slight disagreements with what the correct values were to use. I don't doubt that others that look at it will want to weigh in as well.

In its current form, the table is so generalised that it's misleading or simply unuseful.

A discussion tab would be really helpful, btw.
