I'm writing this as a thank you note to Allakhazam. You see thanks you to your poor choice in advertising partners I finally made the switch to Firfox so I can use Adblock.
Normally I don't mind adds. Since I don't have Premium, I figure I can put up with looking at a few advertisements. But the annoying ad for the caveman thing was too much. You see I was listening to some music while I was browsing and that ad started to play some obnoxious 80's song over the music that was enjoying at the time. It was too much for me. I can't stand ads that play any type of sound.
So I made the switch I'd been thinking about making for some time now. I had been putting it off simply because I didn't feel that I really needed to make the switch, but thanks to your irritating ad, I have finally taken that step. I thank you for that slight bit of motivation.

The title is really cunning because although he's kind of thanking Alla, he's actually slagging them off at the same time! I admit the concept was complicated for me to grasp at first, but once I "got into it" I don't mind admitting I would enjoy this level of complexity in all the posts I read!
I'm sure the staff will be glad to know how much effort you've put in to not paying for their resources at all.
Not that I think there's anything wrong with using adblock to avoid ads, but it's just a little gauche to advertise the fact to the very people you're going to such lengths to avoid paying, don't you think?

I'd rather he advertise it, so the powers that be can see that over doing ads has the opposite of the desired effect.

That's a good point. So many hats, so little time.
Ads on this site are not supposed to have sound. If you see one that has sound report it here. Even better, install firebug, a firefox plugin and post the details of the ad.

I like Opera. it is fun
maybe if the entire alla userbase rallied against the stupid page shrinking adds, the advertisers would see that having add's there is actually hurting business (and if they don't see that, they should realize that advertising in pop ups is the best way to get people to NOT buy a product)
