the ban on rmt links is based on a ban on spam.
I don't give a hoot about someone linking to them if they're trying to talk about them rather than sell people **** they don't want. (since the distinction is very difficult to determine automagically, it results in a ban on links to them)
Aegis linking to various rmt sites isn't a product of him wanting to sell you gold. (Least I don't think so although I haven't reviewed every post he has) It's a product of some deep seeded bitterness, which I think he has a right to express.
