I voted Irit. :)

Re: lack of WoW entries, the "Tricked!" and the "Headless Horseman" pumpkins are both WoW related but labeled as general. :D Perhaps Pikko isn't a WoWer and doesn't know better! hehe

I voted for fenrir, but Ifrit was pretty awesome.

On a side-note, was anybody surprised at the lack of WoW pumpkins? Lack of creativity maybe....

Lack of creativity? Maybe you should check out the WoW pumpkin carving contest that Blizzard had. Everyone of those blows these away IMHO...

I must admit, I only had 2 hours to find a pumpkin, carve it and take a pic, even then the stupid e-mail was rejected the first time I submitted it to Pikko : P... so I had to re-send it and worried if I made it on time lol.

So, If I had the proper carving tools, I'd definitely would have spent more time on designing 'Fenrir' but I really do have to give credit to whom ever did 'Ifrit', alot of time and the same amount of detail was spent on it as I would have done on mine... so I would have vote for his/hers ...

But good job all around, I really do like the variety of ideas that came from this contest, we should have more of them.

Sincerely,
Asura's Minana (with 1 'n' ) because I know there's another Minnana out there :P

Man, i loved that pups puppet, when i first saw it, but man that dwarf was great, it had my vote, until he popped up, such detail, sorry dwarf, you lost to Ifrit.

Something like that. I was going to go with the Dwarf till I saw Ifrit... Are we sure that isn't Photoshopped or something? It almost looks -too- good.

Really, they're all good IMO.

EDIT:

I know they aren't contest entries but I really think you should toss that link in the first post Pikko (or another Admin). They mare not be vote-able, but they're exceptional pieces of art and definitely deserve a look.

Ifrit, just wow.... I wonder how long that took to do. Fenrir was a pretty close second too.

I don't believe the pic was photoshoped at all, though I do believe the original image of ifrit was taken somewhere else that the artist used as a basis and then copied and applied it to the shaving of the pumpkins surface.

Ifrit is definitely a work of art in it's own right but voted for the Horseman ... very cool ... very haloween

Poll is over!

Congrats to Zijder for winning with Ifrit!

I'll post a list of who carved what, but if you want to just come out and say, "That's mine!" that's fine too.
