Not sure if this is normally something you would ban/delete posts about - perhaps I was trying to be too friendly and helpful to the person, but still wanted to report it.

Post nuked.

As an edit, if ppl do bring this stuff up, definitely let us know and we will check into it. In this case, the person was not advertising the IP address of his server and does not have any characters listed so I cannot send details off to Blizzard about it or ban him here.

However, I did nuke the thread and will do so to anyone who posts about private servers since they are violations of the TOS of any game unless stated otherwise by said game company. An IP listing or character listing is akin to those gold selling cockroaches and subject to the [hammer of eternal damnation} I carry around with me.

It's a fine line actually, Wordaen.

Conversations about private servers are ok.

Advertisements for, or promotion of private servers are not ok.

The same applies to most of the topics on the edge of what we accept. Conversations about RMT are ok, but advertising it isn't.

That's what I was saying re advertising but I may have worded it a incorrectly, not intended. However, if it's ok to leave the topic open, no worries.
