Premium members have the option to turn on mouseovers on the forums. This will put a preview of the post under your cursor when you mouseover a link to a message.

It is disabled by default, and can be toggled on or off on any forum or thread view.

Preview seems to sit in one spot at the top of the forum listing. So as I scrol down to see previews of other threads I can't. Smiley: cry

If you mouse over a truncated link in a message post, the normal mouseover text appears on top of yours (in firefox at least.)

For more general feedback, it's a neat idea but I plan to leave it turned off. If I'm just looking at the board I can't read thread titles because the previews get in the way if I have the cursor near a link.

Nifty! Another forum I go on does a mouse-over preview and I always find myself trying to do it here.

Slight problem: In Firefox 2.6 for FFXi stylesheet, when you mouseover a link, the preview is in a transparent sheet, making it impossible to read.

Perhaps a white background with black text or something similar?

It was doing the same thing to me, Kae, and IN's solution worked like a charm.

Yea but it didn't work.

Except if it were baby photos, it would be like looking at before and afters of Michael Jackson. Only instead of turning into a white guy, he changes into a chick!

There anyways to streamline how polls showup with the scroll over?

http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=4;mid=119375926434634248;num=93;page=1

As it is now, it shows all the tags and stuff.

Just a cosmetic thing, I guess.

When I'd put mouseovers on the front page comments, I was just pondering what else I could use that code snippet for. I had read your post tho, so maybe it percolated up then :)
