It would seem that something has happened with the rating system. Here at 2:50 AM PST, I've tried rating two people, one in either direction. I, however, seem to be getting 404 errors when attempting to do so.

Running the latest edition of Firefox, so you know.

Is anyone else getting this problem?

Edit: Nevermind, it seems it's worked itself out and is functioning correctly again. Sorry to take up your time. =/

The nightly server jobs run at about that time. The site runs slowish during that time.

I've been getting 404 errors for the last week both during the day and at night while trying to rate or view the recent visitors list. I use firefox as well.

I had a similar thing. Heard about the recent spate of hackings, and decided to upgrade my security. Got Noscript, blocked all Javascript, which apparently includes the rate up/down buttons on Alla. If it`s not that, no idea.

EDIT: Just tried rating again with Noscript on, it`s not just similar, it`s exactly the same, takes you to a 404 error page. Incidentally, the post/edit buttons are also blocked, so you`ll need to allow Alla to post anything.

EDIT EDIT: The URL of the error I`m getting is

So you only get the 404 when disabling javascript?

I did, yes, because I`m paranoid about picking up a keylogger at the moment. I`m enabling Javascript every time I want to click a button, then disabling it again. For some reason, the post/edit button just doesn`t work at all, though, while the rate up/down buttons go to the 404 page.

If you have noscript on, you can leave javascript running freely and just allow allakhazam.com to run normally. Unless a developer literally writes malicious code into the site itself, you can't pick up a keylogger or anything; those come from the ads, with a different (and blocked) source url.

Actually, the way I understand the recent rash of stolen accounts for FFXI (as it pertains to other sites) is that hackers got into the site itself and DID place the keylogger and such into it. However, again the way I understand it, you're ONLY vulnerable if you use IE since it is a security hole in IE which firefox has patched or something similar.

However, I don't believe allakhazam has EVER been hacked in the past or present, and any changes like that would cause a big red flag, so you can browse safely here. Especially using firefox.

For Somepage, I think it was a single frame of realplayer or something injected into the site.. so you're right, my mistake. Though, while it may not protect you entirely, I still highly recommend Noscript to anyone, since the ads can still potentially contain trojans and the like.

I`m well aware of that, but I`m taking absolutely no chances. I`m temporarily allowing Alla so I can click the post button, then blocking it again. Not that I don`t trust the site, but just to be safe.
