Post Preview / URLFollow

When I preview a post where I have a URL in it, it vanishes. And when I try to post finally, the Post button works like a preview button and just takes me to a preview page. Smiley: confused

I am using FireFox, with NoScript (however alla is on the whitelist). This just started to happen and I haven't changed any settings. And it only seems to happen sporadically.

Anyone else seeing this?

(I scanned the forum and didn't find this so sorry if someone already posted it)

Hmm, it worked, although preview showed no link. Is that normal?

Also, I just did the following with some odd results:

1. Typed the message
2. Highlighted some text, and used the URL button.
3. Went to preview - preview showed no link in the preview itself, but did show the [link=] in the text box.
4. Tried to apply URL to another bit of text and it opened the js popup to enter the url but did not apply the [link] tag to the text.

Erm, now it won't post.

edit: ah, got it finally after it failed to post using the Post Message the first time.

Preview doesn't show the actual clicky link, just the address, same with smilies. No clue why.

Yeah, we strip out all links from previews.. and I'm not completely sure why. We just do? I'd have to ask Illia.

Smiley: confused Preview shows smilies for me, but doesn't show links if I tag them with a name over the link.

Yeah, that's sort of annoying. I've tried to see if a URL I posted works the way I wanted it to before, and the preview wouldn't let me.

None of the buttons like B (for Bold) or i (for italics) work in the preview page for me because /fcluster/Post.pl doesn't include common.js which defines the js function 'doTag()'.

That was why my "URL" button wasn't working once I previewed my post.
