I'm not being cheeky I genuinely want to know what I've missed here, the site he's linked takes you to the correct url, on a secure site, with a valid SSL certificate... am I missing something blatantly obvious? :(

Ah, it's being formatted later anyways, cos my service pack won't install...

However after Wordaen did his banning I saw what the issue was in the url, luckily I'm on european WoW anyways so couldn't have logged in anyways, but still.. took me a while to see that one :)

I dunno what to do. I'm on my work computer, and our Symantec thingy didn't pick anything up. The login site that that link linked to looked legit, but I didn't type anything into it. I then went to the actual worldofwarcraft.com and clicked on their login page. Firefox told me that the certificate didn't match or something.

I hope I don't have a bug now Smiley: glare

From Word's notes, it was a password stealing site, not a keylogger on your computer. If you didn't type anything you should be safe. Never hurts to run a scan however.

It was a very well designed phishing page. The actual url looked like it pointed to Blizzard but in fact pointed to some bogus page made up to look like the Blizz acct page. Didn't show until I went into the post itself to look at it.

Last time I checked, blizz doesn't use awardspace...
