I've seen this mentioned before, and the poster got flamed but I think it needs mentioning again.

My six year old daughter is off school at the moment. She often sits next to me playing on kids websites (Mac & PC side by side). Today I clicked to the "Download Wowreader" page to upload my .lua file, and I was greeted by a banner ad for "Girls on live cams", which was far from appropriate. Let's say you could see what some of them had for breakfast.

Yes, the game has an age limit, but this site doesn't. I don't expect to see these kind of images pop up unless I subscribe to a site which features them, and I certainly don't want them appearing on the screen which my daughter can see.

Can a filter be applied to the ads selected for display?

Please respond in a mature manner.

Thanks

If you feel like there's an ad that is inappropriate and would like the admins to take a look at it, you'll need to grab the page source and post it here so they'll know which ad you're talking about.
In IE, go to "View" and then "source" then copy and paste what you get.

We'll remove any that are over the top, use Usagichan's method to submit them. You really should think about either investing in premium or aquiring a decent ad blocker. There are several decent free ones out there. Or you could add our ad servers to a hosts file.

we would prefer you get premium though. It pays for all the content you see on teh site.

You need to keep in mind this site is about games that are 13+, so you should consider that our site would be also.

I don't think Hello Kitty is appropriate for small children. They required them to make short videos in order to take part of their beta testing. Really, that's kind of creepy.

I need to know who the hell you are and why your custom title is awesome.

Good advice, thanks.

I had premium for quite some time, then it expired. I may get it again, but I'd prefer to not see the ads if I choose not to. I'll report them as above for now. Thanks.

I'm well aware, but when my daughters are 13, I wouldn't want them to see this ad!!

Thanks for the comments, for now I'll report them as suggested.
