Umm..I'm obviously no HTML expert...what did I do wrong and what do I do to correct my messed up armory link in my signature below?

Jebek, 70 Orc Hunter

playing with it ...

Okay just follow my link to your armory profile, copy the url and then past that back into your link, obviously removing the spaces you've put in yours so we can see it.

Copy my link again and remove the space in [/ link]

Unless I'm missing something completely obvious it should be working, this site will shorten the url when you don't post it in [link] tags which is why you'll need to recopy it, but I can't see anything else wrong with what you're typing.

Edit: Incidentally the next time, just type the title of your link normally (eg Jebek, 70 Orc Hunter) highlight it then hit the URL button in the posting box, you'll get a pop up you can put your url into and it will do the tags for you :)

Oooh..its working now. Muchas gracias for your help.

And now for the next part of linking 101, how does one link an item (using alla links so I don't get flamed to death over it) so that when you mouse over it all the pretty little details show up?

Same way as you used for your sig, the mouseover is automatic.

You just link to the item's page.

ie.

Warglaive of Azzinoth has the url http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=32837;source=live

Hover the mouse over that link and it should show the item. You can do the same with linked text, such as this or Warglaive of Azzinoth.

As long as the link directs you to the item's page.

Related topic so I'm posting in here instead of making a whole new thread...

Is there a way to escape special characters so they aren't parsed? Would help for showing people how to do things and such without random spaces.
