Many times I've looked through the FFXI Notorious Monsters list looking for something fun or new to try my luck at. About 3 years ago this worked very well. Now however there are currently 1,547 monsters on that list.
A very high number of those monsters are event related.
I'm unaware of the amount of labor it would take, but if there was a way to separate Dynamis, Limbus, WSNM, Quest, BCNM, ENM, Besieged, Campaign, etc... and end up with a list of what's left over, that would be an incredibly helpful piece of reference material.

You could sort the list by location instead of name, that would help a little, I imagine.
Allakhazam could hire me and I'd sort it.

I suppose that would get rid of Dynamis, Limbus, Nyzul Isle, and maybe a couple others.
The problem is, that's not really practical. Now instead of looking through a list of NMs, I'd have to search every zone, then I'd still have to search through all the quest, wsnm, event, AF, etc...
So what's up? Should I have not expected a response? Was it just a bad idea?
Actually, it's a great idea but the current problem is that it's dev side. Currently, all the devs are -really- busy with other projects, so it's not exactly an easy task to even ask them to do something simple.

Just knowing someone on the staff even read the post is good enough for me. Thanks for the response, maybe I can look forward to this some day.
