Sub-default filter change not savingFollow

Every time I change the "Show posts" option to "Sub-default" and higher (effectively "show-all"), it only saves for my current session. Since I log out everytime I close my browser, it never is saved whenever I log back in. Is this working as intended, or a bug? I figured it would save in my account, not only for my current session... thanks for the clarification!

Are you hitting the save button to the left of change settings after doing that?

Ahhhh, that's the problem. I delete my cookies every time I log out.

Suppose it's too much to ask to have preferences like that saved with the account, like the sig is? :-P

I do not believe the filter functions that way.

The sig is saved because it is a database entry that is pulled with every post.

The filter is something that will tell the database what to filter. From my limited knowledge with back-end stuff, if the filter was saved on the server, it would require an extra query to display the info. That would be an extra query for each user for each page open, which could bog the site down.

Maybe the filters could be a separate cookie. Then you would be able to set that one cookie to always save, while everything else deletes

I think that the filters should be done using JScript on the page, maybe with a small arrow/line between the posts indicating it's been filtered out.
