[WOW] Spell rank in linkFollow

I flagged this as WoW, dunno if it applies to any other Wiki.

I was wondering if there was a way to have the link when I did [wow spell:Spellname] have it just default to Rank 1 if I didn't specify rank so a non-ranked link would work. It's a pain because some spells don't HAVE a rank so you have to go hunt down or remember if it has a Rank 1 or if it's the only spell.

Alternatively, if you made all non-rank spells have a rank of Rank 1 that would work too.

It's just a pain to go and fix spell links and then have to go look up whether there's an additional rank or not. I'm also wondering when WoLK comes out if suddenly a lot of these no-rank/only rank 1 spells are going to get a second rank... which will then break every link on the wiki :-/

Thanks!

edit: In thinking about it I suspect that you may have to do both to maintain the integrity of existing links as well as account for non-rank specific links. Sorry Smiley: frown

Right now you can use either (Rank x) or (ID#) after the spell. Using just the spell name will take you to a disambig page in most cases. Unless something has changed that I am unaware of.

I'd asked this a few times, but the answer seemed to be "no". Which is unfortunate, because it is a true pain in the *** to handle the spell links at the moment.
