Aside from the disappearing post thing, I experience the same thing. Noscript but Alla is allowed, have Adblocker on as well.

I use IE at work, Firefox + AdBlock/NoScript at home; I have the issue on both computers.

Currently I'm unable to rate any posts in =10 it seems.

I heard a rumor that =10 has been completely no rated due to some problems they were having with the posters there. Smiley: frown

So are you trying to just rate one post, or does it happen after you have rated half the page, for example?

It happens rather frequently actually. Sometimes an arrow just won't work for a few minutes. This happens when rating many posts in a thread or just one.

Pretty much randomly a post(s) on a given page can't be rated, even if its the 1st arrow I've clicked for the day it'll not go through but a post right above or below it rates just fine. Not always just one users posts on a page either, but seems like it happens more often when I rate the same person up within the hour.

I use the same, and I have had this issue before. It seems to happen randomly to me. I wonder how many, if any, people have ever had this happen before; I had no idea it ever happened to anyone but me.

I use Opera and just randomly it will/won't work.

I use Firefox and I too am having some issues.

Sometimes it works just dandy, other times it won't allow me to rate up but it will down or vise versus or not at all. Sometimes the arrows won't disappear, but the post will change rating. It seems really random, because it could happen on the first post I've rated in a week or it could happen after I've rated several posts in a day. It can happen after weeks of no issue, then suddenly haunt me for a couple of days.

...The oddest thing that I haven't seen mentioned that I've noticed, is sometimes when I rate others their post count will go up or down once I hit the arrow, regardless of which direction I rate them. Does the user block on the left of a post ...refresh once rated? or is just the rating that changes... Maybe that user just happens to make another post and once rated it refreshes the post count? ... but I can swear I've seen the post count go down, which doesn't seem possible. :<

I've noticed the same problem for quite awhile now, both at home and at work (using Firefox 3.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.4.11). Have Adblock enabled, but not NoScript here at work.

Speaking of rate arrows, it would be nice if they were just a *tad* further apart. I don't rate often, but I feel like a jerk if I click on the wrong one by accident.

Agreed.

I am having the same issues listed in the thread in both FF and IE and home and work.

Well it's hardly a rush, it's been this way for some time...it would just be nice and in the name of "karma system working as intended."

I'm not sure why this thread needed to be karma bombed, but I went ahead and rated everyone back up.

I hope the issue gets a fix. I probably don't rate people as often as i should, but there's been a few times i really wanted to rate a post down, but couldn't because of the bug.

I have the same problem:

Mac OS X 10.3.9 - Safari
Linux Ubuntu - Firefox 3
Windows Vista Home Premium - IE7

Issue occurs on all three computers. I'll either be going through a thread, rating people up/down as appropriate and one person I can't raite, either up OR down. Or sometimes I'll get it without ever having rated anyone. Force-refreshing the page seems to resolve it MOST of the time on all three systems but it's really annoying >.<

better yet; an undo button. Or make just the arrow you actually hit disappear. So say I meant to hit green on you and mistakenly hit red. Red arrow disappears, and I can hit the green 1 to undo my error. :)

So it wasn't just my imagination... I've seen several threads where every post got rated down, even to the point of sub-defaulting posts that agreed with the majority...

I'm wondering if the FFXI Feedback forum should be exempt from the karma system though... it's supposed to give SE staff an idea of what players want, but if criticism is sub-defaulted how is SE to know that the OP isn't "speaking for all players"? (You know the ones... "I think I'm speaking for all players when I say that <enter dumb/impractical idea>!")

Any update on this issue? I would love to rate the OP of this thread down: http://wow.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=21;mid=1222283864270812006;num=0;page=1

Apologies for the bump from page 2, but the above happens to me in pretty much every thread where I click a rate button. Not only this, but 50% of the time when I post in a thread I have to wait up to an hour and then refresh the page in order to see my own post. :|

And clocks don't click, because an 'o' is not a 'i'.
