Sticky to Wiki LinkFollow

#1 Sep 03 2008 at 9:19 AM Rating: Excellent
Would it be possible to somehow tag a sticky with a URL or something such that when the sticky is clicked it immediately goes to a Wiki Page instead of going to a thread? The reason for this is I feel that the Wiki system is a little too behind-the-scenes for the casual user. Having to click into a thread and then click another link can be slightly annoying, and I think doing this would allow casual forum browsers to be more connected with the Wiki system. I realize it would involve some more coding, and that this probably isn't currently a possibility, but just some food for thought.

This came up in the WoW Paladin forum, I don't know if it's possible, but it would be interesting and a lot more user-friendly I think.

I'd like to back this one up. It would be great.

The wiki format is so much better than a regular post. If stickies could be wiki'd, and only a single click away, then it would be great.

A prime example is the pre-Kara Holy Paladin sticky. It's a link to a wiki from within a post. It would be more convenient if the sticky itself was a direct wiki link you could click on, and end up in the wiki. Then, if anyone had any questions/comments, they could just start up a thread in the appropriate forum.

Hopefully this is something that can be easily done.

Thanks for listening.
