I know most FFXI players/Allakhazam browsers don't just play FFXI, they play some console games or PC games. On Gamefaqs today, in the lower left side of all pages, not just the main page (forum pages, individual topics, FAQ lists pages), I saw a small black & gray square. It looks like the iFrame, at least the one from some-page .com (cannot link to it or post even it without http, so I misspelled it). I posted on Gamefaqs site forum about it, but I recommend site admins here find some safe way to browse Gamefaqs and confirm it's an iFrame (I'm not up to date tech savvy, but I've never seen tiny squares anywhere else besides cannotlinkto). If you can confirm it, maybe posting a warning about it on the main FFXI forum or on the front page is in order. Unlike Some-page .com, where that iFrame was restricted to the main page and not their links page or specific pages, this seems to be all over Gamefaqs.

Go to wikipedia and put iFrame, IFrame, or iframe into the search box.

It infected cannotlinkto (some page.com; Alla filters for it) and FFXIAtlas and sometimes even FFXI AH website at various times in the past year. It's basically a means to install malware on computers and crack people's passwords for access to MMORPG accounts and credit card accounts. Really nasty (as all malware is).

iFrames are not evil. They can just be used for evil things.

Thank you. I was wondering when we were going to hear from the iFrame Anti-Defamation League :D

Edit: Checked status on Gamefaqs. The admins there deleted my topic there because it was "off topic". They don't give a sh**, so they're probably not going to fix it for a long time (like some page .com). Something to keep in mind- they're not going to do anything on their end unless they're forced to.

Just to wrap this topic up, I checked Gamefaqs yesterday and the iFrame is gone. So it should be safe to go to again.
