there were redirects to the same chinese site from last week. noscript should have caught them.

Noscript? You mean that firefox extension which I dont have installed on this machine?

Anyway I didnt get redirected anywhere for some reason, just saw a pic of some woman.

Im running a virus scan anyway.

It didnt redirect in the traditional sense, guess I'm using the wrong word. While the jpg was loading, firefox tried to connect to the chinese site that was used in last weeks attempts. I'm guessing it was downloading/adding something that you don't want on your computer, I'd suggest full scans on everything.

What if you only saw the picture and didn't get a pop up at all? Does that mean you've got a virus?

The popup is a program I run to detect all network traffic going into and out of my computer. That's how I saw it was going somewhere else and stopped it. I'm sure tehre are other programs on the pc that can do the same thing, I think it's probably built into some firewall programs, but it gets a bit tedious at times if you have it setup with strict rules. If noscript is not on your firefox, I'd definitely say to run trojan and virus scans.
