Request for moderationFollow

Hate to complain over here, but requesting some moderation in the FFXI Summoner job forum (=15 I believe).

I posted an idea, Enilanerda didn't care for it (fine, he's welcome to his opinion) but he's just posting flames. Someone else, ThePacster (an innocent bystander) tried to start up a different idea thread of his own, but Enil's still in full Rage mode and busily spamming flames over there as well. Perhaps abusing the ratebutton too if ThePacster's karma is any indication, but eh, the flames are obvious at least. Would greatly appreciate if an admin would poke Enil to calm down, the Summoner forum sees few enough new ideas as-is without scaring away newcomers:

I actually did have an idea for SMN recently before this thread was created. I'm hesitant to post it in fear of the calamity that could ensue for making a proposal. ^^;

I read through both threads and, while Enil is being obnoxious and a little elitist, he has not crossed a boundary line that warrants personal admin attention as yet. I will keep an eye on it but I will also say this, which you probably know already: When someone responds to a post of yours in a manner designed to elicit a negative response from you and you react with "stop flaming" or angry responses, that simply tells them that their attempt to troll or irritate you has succeeded and they will keep at it. Enil has a habit of pushing his opinion on posters yes, but so far he has not crossed the line into a warning with either of these threads.

If it gets to that point then yes, I will deal with it the same way I deal with all harassing posters who come my way. Until then, the easiest way to deal with that is to simply ignore the posts that person makes to bait you or whatever, as difficult as that can be sometimes. When a poster knows they are getting under your skin, they are far more inclined to keep at it until you explode then you look like the bad guy and they sit back and giggle. Take a breath and don't rise to the bait, the forums are to have fun and interact with fellow players, not get stressed over someone who wants to tear down your ideas.

Unnecessary post Flixa...

No idea who 'Gabji' is, so... no? Lol.

Not particularly worried about 'my' thread (I'm willing to slap posts back at him whenever), mostly concerned that he's taking out his lost temper out on newer posters and scaring them off. Thank you for your consideration, though.

Well, if I do see over the top behavior, it'll be dealt with :)
#7REDACTED, Posted: Oct 20 2008 at 8:28 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If you took a look at the dude's posting style aka VERY LONG POSTS then you would agree with that post, was nuking it really necessary?

Nothing was nuked.
