Offical Petiton for an Anime forum!Follow

I came seeking moar lolgaxe of the holy anime enlighten. My pilgrimmage is complete. Now it is my turn to wage the holy war for the greater good of the anime forum's creation \o/ (just kidding, but i did vote yes)

Allakahzam would still be an MMO forum, but just like every single other forum on the internet they offer more areas of discussion than their primary focus. It wouldn't be attracting a new demographic, it would be serving an existing demographic that has previously been ignored.

As Allegory said, this new forum would be unlikely to attract new people, since it would not be advertised after its creation, and certainly not outside of the site (unless by word of mouth). People come for the gaming portions of the site, and some then migrate to the other forums, while others do not. Either way, the forum would have the same rules as other forums about sticking to topic and other general forum rules.

I voted yes. I have a few friends that are into anime and sometimes I miss out on some conversations. This would be a great place to lurk about and learn a little about it :)

There's already a very lively anime forum in Vataro's journal, and it certainly hasn't brought about the end of Allakhazam. Having an official forum would bring it more into the public eye and under the jurisdiction of the admins and moderators. There's really nothing to lose here except for the "recent visitors" list in Vataro's journal.

From a business point of view, it makes sense for Allakhazam to add this forum. I don't see it really bringing in more members or causing existing members to leave, but it will improve retention and promote a sense of community.
