Ability to add tables to posts?

Hello Alla Admins,

I have been trying to put together posts that would benefit quite a bit from tables, for instance:

(Spell Hit information for a WoW raiding mage)

% Spell Hit Rating (lvl 80)
17%.....445.94387624....hit cap
14%.....367.24789808....Spriest/Boomkin
11%.....288.55191992....Elemental Precision
8%*.....209.85594176....Spriest/Boomkin + EP
1%......26.23199272

While separating each column with periods does look classy, it would be much easier to be able to simply create a table and lay the numbers in there. Is this plausable or am I missing some sort of formatting part that is already built in?

There are the [pre ] [/pre ] tags.

It's for pre formated text. The forum automatically removes extra spaces, but using those tags forces it to keep the spaces

Pre tags is likely all that is feesable at this time. Tables would require significant dev time that we don't currently have enough devs to dedicate towards.

You could also create wiki articles and use the wiki formatting to create tables.

You can sort of make charts using the [ pre ] tags, but it's a pain.

that looks pretty damn awesome, nice work.

I may have to try out this whole wikify thing and make tables and then just link to it.

Some basic table tags shouldn't be too hard. Just keep it simple. If they want fancy tables they should make an image of it and get premium account to post it;)
