Cannot upgrade, Cannot find contact informationFollow

I was a premium customer some years back and I wish to upgrade the account again.

However, when I select the 'Upgrade to Premium Now' link, it takes me to the (Zam styled) signup page with the message, "Thank you for subscribing to Allakhazam.com premium services. Your account is already premium and cannot be upgraded further." I wish that was the case rather than view these terrible advertisments designed for the infinite stupid people out there.

Why is it there is no contact information on this site? Or am I completelty missing the link.

All the contact information you could ever want is located on the staff bios page, a link to which is on most of the sidebars. http://www.allakhazam.com/Staff_Bios.html

Posting here is also a good choice.

Your premium signup won't process because at some point you requested and recieved a premium cancellation and refund. After that occurs, the site won't let you automatically resubscribe because it never recoreded the "your premium expired" state

You will want to contact darqflame@allakhazam.com for direction on how to proceed. Or you could make a new username and use that to sign up for premium, that would also work.

Sidebars? I'm not seeing these sidebars ...

Seriously, no links at all except the two down the very bottom for zam. I'm only using wow.allakhazam.com. Checking source code on many different pages reveals nothing.

Um .. yeah. I'd consider that to be private information as the result of a discussion between me and the administrator. Consider this scenario. You apply for a bank loan only to be declined. Later in an online public forum, a bank staff member says, "yeah, like when you went for that loan and we declined it because you don't earn enough". It opens the door for others to form uneducated and specific opinions about you. "don't earn enough" could mean you don't earn $1,500,000 per year, but do earn $1,200,000 per year. But a reader might think you earn some paltry amount because they have no real idea because no amount was mentioned, nor the amount sought. Specific opinions can be awkward. Another bank might say to you, "Well now that we know publically you were declined a loan, we consider you a bad risk". Extreme example, but you get the idea.

I'm not attacking you, merely hoping you see how thin that fine line called privacy law is. I have 20+ yrs of customer service under my belt and oh yes, I've crossed that line once or twice. It happens.

There's no doubt you do a splendid job here.

Anyway, I'm having second thoughts about this. Thank you for taking the time to reply though, I do appreciate it.

Actually I like his reply, it could avoid further questions about this sort of thing if it were put in a FAQ.

You receiving a refund wont make me laugh at you, you asked for a refund he didnt state why. Had he said: "You asked for a refund because your house burned down with stolen liquor while you were drunk and had just robbed a liquor store and in the incident burned down all your bank cards and all your work data and valuables and your insurance had stopped taking effect the day before and that 2 nights before you were probed by aliens without any form of written consent while you were taping a NFL game without the consent of the NFL"

Then maybe there would be a problem.

But if you dont like it, just ask it in a 1 line reply.

Like I said on top, it could go well in a premium FAQ.

I have no clue where the reply came from. People get refunds, it's part of life. You didn't contact him privately, nor me for that matter via the accounts email listed on your user page. But he didn't reveal why you got the refund, he just said you canceled and got a refund, if it were a case of a user having a credit card decline, he'd most likely PM you. Doesn't mean it wasn't an overcharge and you got refunded, doesn't mean you only wanted service for one year and not two and forgot to use the renewal settings, or that you didn't like the service you were given, need I continue?

Shykre: that'd be nice and all, but a lot of people don't read them anyway. However I have been working on one anyway, hehe.

And to clarify there is no side bar on the wow template, nor a link to the FAQ anywhere, Smiley: mad definitely need to change that...
