Yup, I know its probably an old moan, but EU players don;t feel included in competitions . I appreciate that in many cases, shipping would be an issue.

But take, for example, the egg competition - Any entrant is applicable, as far as I understand .

This is a worldwide contest.

Except, now theres this

Eggcellence Trial - All contestants in the Allakhazam Egg Fight will be automatically entered in this trial. If you haven't entered yet, get your egg entry in!

. Except now, one ofthe prizes is a security token , and you say

This drawing is open only to North America.
.

Thats like saying 'ok, you can enter this, but you're not going to win anything . Its unfair to change the prizes of a competition halfway through the entry period in a way that means an entry may not have a chance at winning a certain rank of prize .

If you are going to assign different rules for winning different prizes, it just isn't fair anymore . Can I enter, and have a fair chance of winning any prize assigned to or related to the competition, or can I enter, and then watch in envy as USA players who put in no more effort than me get a double chance of winning by being entered into a random drawing.

We already get nothing offered to us in the wonderful 10 year anniversary draw ....not even a little bit of free premium, and I just can't help thinking that it's not really fair . There may be less of us EU folks, but we do spend time here and contribute, and it's a shame we rarely get rewarded .

This is the first time I've heard of this contest. Guess I should read the frontpage more.

I'm guessing that any prizes sent out by SE (like the tokens) are going to be restricted to US only. International shipping is just too much for them to handle apparently.

I thought this, but then I remembered Squeenix had already chipped in prizes for the Egg competition, and I remembered specifically asking at the time if the competition still remained open to people from all countries, and was assured that it was. Now, the prizes SE added were a shadowlord statue, and a CD . A statue is going to cost waaaaay more to ship than a security token, so I don't understand why UK or European entrants to the egg fight aren't eligible for a chance to win that too .

The thing with the 10 year anniversary contest is it's Allas ten year anniversary - not the games, not the members, but the site itself , and while I appreciate shipping is an issue (especially of items like a wii) surely a token competition for the EU players to win a couple of months free premium wouldn't be a lot to ask - a consolation prize if you will.
