I recently got a PM from a friend. Noticing the "You have 1 new unread PM" thing, I clicked on it, read it, and responded to it.
But it's still telling me that I have 1 unread PM, even though I don't. I've tried relogging in, refreshing cache, everything. Is there some sort of problem going on with it? I keep thinking I've gotten a response when there's nothing there. >_<

Do you have anyone that you've "ignored" that might've sent you a PM? I hear that can cause the unrelenting "You have 1 Private Message!" thingie.

No, I had this problem a few days ago. Right when the forums were all borked and Ari made that post in "recent visitors" she also PM'd it to me apparently. I checked the message, but the "You have 1 Private Message." stayed there for at least 24 hours after I checked it. It's gone now, but it looks like I wasn't the only one who had this problem.

It's called a ghost PM, Kao has one also. It will go away once they get whatever it is they are working on squared away. Ghost PM's are low priority atm. If you still have it next week, let me know.

No worries, I just wanted to be sure that I didn't really get a PM that I for some reason cannot see >_>
It was frigging annoying!!! I try to be pretty proactive on my PM replies, and seeing that "you have a new PM" message all day until they finally fixed it was a pain.
