Quick question -
The fact that I haven't renewed premium yet and I lost access to my journal...
Does that mean the threads in it are deleted?
-Very very very- important, for I posted my entire FFXI fanfiction there, and I would really hate to lose several hundred pages (in Word) of work because I cannot afford premium atm.

I'm guessing no as I've let my premium expire and once I renewed it, all of my avatars and images were still there and did not need to be uploaded again. I think they save it, you just can't access it.

Journal content, avatars and sigs do not delete, they just become inaccessable until you get premium again.

We do not delete anything. Even nuked posts and banned users are not deleted. The posts just aren't displayed.

Purely hypothetical question, as I am not planning on dropping Premium anytime soon... Could admins retrieve any journal/image data one have lost access to if the Premium expires? Like I said, I don't plan on dropping premium, but just in case it happens I'd like to know if the data can be retrieved without renewing Premium or if I should keep backups at all times? It's a good idea to do that anyway, but I've already lost other pieces of data I thought were backed up safely.

Hmkay, thanks for the answer. I'll make sure to keep a couple of backups of anything in there I want to keep.

I went a few months without premium last year due to shortage of funds, and I was happy to find that everything was still there when I got back... especially the giant nuked thread that chronicles about nine months of the lives of many longtime posters. I was surprised that nothing was missing, but it goes to show that Alla and company really like to keep the posters coming back.
